Jyl Campbell, Founder, Care and Intake Coordinator, of TJ's Landing Puppy Retirement Home joined forces with RESCUE 55021. Jyl has worked with Senior and Hospice dogs for years and has a huge loving and caring heart for these very special dogs.

The need for this type of home is huge, and we are so honored to have this service available to RESCUE 55021 through Jyl at TJ's Landing!

TJ … the boy who started it all.

TJ… started all the magic and was the inspiration for TJ’s Landing.

Several years ago Jyl took in a senior foster, TJ.

He was an older yellow lab, who stole her heart. It wasn’t long before she adopted him. He went over the rainbow bridge just shy of his 15th birthday.

That is when Jyl realized the seniors had a special place in her heart so she began taking in more of them, adopting them and giving them her home.

Jyl started a senior sanctuary and hospice!

Cody

Cody had a matted coat and showed extreme stress when touched. Because of this, he was sedated to clip the matting off of him and get him vaccinated.
Cody has come a long way but is still very reactive. However, he has come to trust Jyl. He is still nippy and so it’s a process.

For the last 13 years, Cooper has been cherished as a part of a family. She is now 15 and over the past few months, with age, this sweet girl, because of her already nervousness, became less tolerant of the infant in the home and safety of the child became a concern. Were happy to report this sweet, shy girl is doing better than expected. It will take time for her to decompress and adjust, she is eating and loves pets.

Wendy-Lou was not a “nice” dog. In fact, she was a bully, crabby, stubborn and down right mean sometimes. Jyl learned that she needed to earn the respect from her. Her and Jyl's relationship bloomed into something beautiful, one with mutual respect and love.
